Bishop Joseph Vasquez attended St. Mary’s Seminary here in Houston (1976-1980) and then studied the North American College in Rome (1980-1985) before being ordained to the Diocese of San Angelo in 1984. He was elevated to the office of Bishop in 2002 for the Diocese of Galveston - Houston where he now serves as Chancellor.
